Samaras: team spirit is second to none at celtic
THERE may have been comings and goings at Celtic Park in recent weeks but Georgios Samaras says it has not affected the togetherness that exists among the squad.
The Greek striker believes there is a tremendous team spirit within the Hoops dressing room and also that new signings, Jos Hooiveld, Thomas Rogne and Ki Sung Yueng, have already fitted in well.
“I think we’re a really strong group and when a new player comes in he’ll settle right into the atmosphere,” Samaras said.
“When you have 20-25 players and want to win a game or do better in training sometimes you have some arguments, but in the end it’s like a big family.
“Most of the players have been here for two or three years, and even when players are out or are in, you have plenty of others who can keep the atmosphere and the dressing room the way we want.
“We’re always strong and don’t need anything else to make us stronger. We feel well with ourselves and that’s the most important thing.”
“I feel good in myself and all the team are feeling really good. There are a lot of games and a lot of points to be won and a lot of things can still happen."

That was posted before the st.johnstone match bellow is MORE transfer news and yes MORE players could be heading south and Mr O'Neill(who every celtic fan respects)has said NO to Mowbray about Curtis Davies for a loan deal so who is next to pack and head down south soon we will have an all new celtic team good thing or bad ?
Martin says no--
Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has dashed Celtic's hopes of signing fit-again central defender Curtis Davies on loan.
Bhoys boss Tony Mowbray was reported to be interested in linking up with Davies, who played under him at West Brom before moving to Villa Park. Davies returned to action after five months out following shoulder surgery as a substitute during Saturday's FA Cup win over Brighton.
But O'Neill is not keen on allowing Davies to make a temporary switch to Parkhead. He said: "I wouldn't be in a position to be wanting to loan players out at this stage."
He added: "The reason being, of course, is that if you do it internationally between two countries - and Celtic and ourselves would be that - you'd have to do it for the whole of the season.
"While it would be great for some of the younger players to get maybe a month's football, we may well need Curtis. Things can happen here.
"A loan would be absolutely out of the question, especially for a season loan.
"I'm looking at trying to get some of the younger players games but I'm mindful of the fact that after 28 days we can get them recalled."
Villa have just three experienced centre-backs - Richard Dunne, Carlos Cuellar and James Collins - in addition to Davies as they push for a Champions League spot and Carling Cup and FA Cup glory.
Rasmussen keen on hoops--
Brondby striker Thomas Rasmussen hopes his "dream" move to Celtic becomes reality on Monday.
Celtic are understood to have agreed a fee of around £1.8million for the Dane. The 24-year-old, who has been in Thailand on duty with a Danish league select team, expects that to be completed soon and he is keen to sort personal terms with the Glasgow club.
"This is a dream I have had for a long time," Rasmussen said in the Mail on Sunday. "It is a step up for me, if it becomes a reality. I expect a clarification on Monday, but now I am going home to Denmark with the rest of the league team."
He added: "I have not even negotiated my personal things, but if the other things go in order, then I guess this also will. And I would really want it to go in order."
Fox could be set to head south next--
Burnley are interested in bringing Celtic's left-back Danny Fox to Turf Moor, Press Association Sport understands.
The Scotland international's short spell at Parkhead will end if the clubs agree a fee and the 23-year-old thrashes out personal terms with new Burnley boss Brian Laws.
Fox was signed from Coventry for an undisclosed sum on a four-and-half-year deal in July and made his debut in the 5-0 Wembley Cup win over Egyptian champions Al-Ahly. He has played 23 times this season under Celtic boss Tony Mowbray and in November made his Scotland debut in the 3-0 friendly defeat by Wales in Cardiff.
The departure of Fox would signal yet another change to the Hoops' squad which has already lost Gary Caldwell to Wigan and Willo Flood, Chris Killen, and Barry Robson to Middlesbrough.
