DEAL: Chris Hughton has bolstered his defensive options by signing QPR defender Fitz Hall. Newcastle officials have also confirmed that they have made what they consider a "fair and substantial" offer for Victor Moses

BIRMINGHAM CITY: Birmingham's new owner Carson Yeung is reportedly ready write a £23m cheque to bring Roman Pavlyuchenko to the club. Tottenham are prepared to sell the Russian but want to recoup the £13m they paid for him 17 months ago with £50,000 a week wages and a signing on fee taking the package to a Blues club record. PORTSMOUTH: Avram Grant has threatened to walk out of Portsmouth after two players were sold behind his back. The club are confident they have convinced Grant to stay but the former Chelsea boss and chief executive Peter Storrie are both fuming after Younes Kaboul and Asmir Begovic were sold to Tottenham without them knowing. HULL CITY: Cash-strapped Hull's entire squad was last night put up for sale, according to the Daily Star. Hull's debt is believed to stand at £10m, with a reported wage bill of £39m, and chairman Adam Pearson will listen to all offers for their players in a bid to balance the books. But manager Phil Brown has come out and rubbished the rumours.

MANCHESTER CITY: Manchester City lead the chase for Middlesbrough's Adam Johnson. The winger has asked for permission to talk to City with the Daily Express reporting that Boro are holding out for £9 million.
SPAIN: Manchester City have refused to stump up Real MadridÂ’s £20m euro asking price for Argentinean midfielder Fernando Gago. Celtic have had a 1.5m euro bid for centre-back Ivan Ramis turned down by Mallorca. (Marca)

BOLTON: Bolton Wanderers are attempting to hijack Aruna Dindane's £5m to Birmingham. City have agreed a fee with Lens for Dindane, who has scored five goals on loan at Portsmouth this season, but the Trotters are set to step in and offer a higher salary. (Daily Star)

  FULHAM: Fulham have revived a bid for Roma striker Stefano Okaka. The 20-year-old Italian looked set to sign on loan earlier this month but talks broke down. (Daily Star)

BLACKBURN ROVERS: Sam Allardyce is confident he can keep Morten Gamst Pedersen out of the clutches of other clubs. The midfielder's contract expires in the summer and Turkish club Fenerbahce are interested in making a pre-contract agreement with Pedersen. But Allardyce said: "I think we can keep Morten here."

CHAMPIONSHIP: West Brom are closing in on a deal to sign Dutch international Andwele Slory from Feyenoord. Billy Davies has launched a £1.5m bid to bring Victor Moses to Nottingham Forest from cash-strapped Crystal Palace, with fellow promotion chasers Newcastle and West Brom also reported to have bid the same amount.
