Match Reviews
This week was not a good one for Man City getting beat by Hull is a little embarrassing to say the least no disrespect meant but when you look on paper at the 2 teams only 1 should win, well on paper, it is looking harder each week for City to get that 4th postion in the league this year it makes me think will Mancini stay if we are not in europe next year, it was Noel Gallagher that put that in my head on espn's talk of the terrace show, i sure hope he does not as another change of manager would sure mean trouble for the players we need stability in City now i had said this before that it will take us a few seasons to get where we should be, top 4th league position contending for league win and champions league qualifying group stage plus winning domestic cups, i also said this when Hughes was manager as maybe me being Nieve i thought Hughes would have had at least 2 seasons to get things going, well how wrong was i there, Mancini is a good manager his first few games we saw changes in the defence that were so needed but on Saturday it was hard to watch(never mind blog about)defence was just not there and we paid for it 2 nil in 1st half so can we pick it back up looking at the table we have still a chance and Arsenal getting beat was a lil helpfull i guess more work in defence Mancini please.

I was looking forward to watching this next match against Spurs and Villa the 2 of these teams have been playing some good football this season infact in a way they sometimes play alike they like to play fast paced football, always good to watch, Defoe is on fire this season and he near put Spurs in front from the start only to put it over the bar Crouch was having no real luck either with his closest going past the post the 2 teams were trying to go for it and get the opening goal but it was not to be as the game went on and on and on you just knew that a draw was looking like the final score a few chances came Villa's way but went begging to put in the goal i felt Spurs were missing something or someone Robbie Keane sprung to mind, wait thats right we have him at Celtic, yes i really felt if Spurs had had Robbie there and then he might have won that game for them also Lennon was missing who lets face it is dynamite at the moment all in all i was looking for a better match but i felt the 2 teams in the way they play just canceled each other out.

Now like most, if not all, City fans i just hate it when United win but when they win by 5 goals to nil well it is a bad day, watching the game was even worse(if my mate didn't want to see it i wouldn't have watched)in a way i think everyone new the out come of this match before it started as Portsmouth with all there problems, on and off the pitch, just ain't a challenge for ateam of players like Man U, honestly i was hopeing just maybe they would do the unthinkable and beat Man u, even i have to admit here that with the title race so close between Chelsea and united that every game united play they are going to make it as dificult as posiable for the team there plying they know they need to win every game going to and hope Chelsea lose a couple this season it is close it really makes it exciting but this weekend Man u never really had any challenge it was more a training game for them Rooney just can not stop scoring now after saying it was a training game the goals they scored were mostly deflections Rooney got the 1st a good cross in and he headered it in the 6yard box really could not miss from where he was 2nd was well a joke goal Nani tryed to flick it in the box it deflected and rolled in the goal so slow it was like watching slow motion 3rd was Carick who shot from outside the box the ball deflected and yes went in the net at 1st i thought good goal but replay was when i saw deflection 4th ok no deflection here Berbatov got the ball at edge of the box and hammered it in the best goal no doubt 5th not a deflection BUT was an own goal infact 3 own goals was the way it went down with Rooney and Berbatov only getting the goals.
Scorer: Rooney (40)
Scorer: Vanden Borre (45 o.g.)
Scorer: Hughes (58 o.g.)
Scorer: Berbatov (61)
Scorer: Wilson (69 o.g.)
